One of the issues with traditional pots made from netting in the market is that crabs get caught and tangled and when returned to the water because of size or the female crab spawning, it is common that they lose claws and are compromised.

The Crab Crib was developed to overcome this problem and to deliver a more sustainable and more effective product to the market. Changing from netting to a flexible PVC die-cut sheet, the Crab Crib allows small crabs to easily slip out of the crab pot without causing any injury. The Crab Crib spreads up into a basket shape and collapses easily for effective storage and functionality.
