MEAL ‘N‘ SEAL PROJECT BRIEF

In the current age of convenience, food delivery from services such as Uber, DoorDash and Menulog have seen a sharp increase in popularity, particularly in a world where lockdowns are a reality. Prior to these services, food was delivered by a worker at the restaurant, and both the restaurant and the customer could be assured the food was secure and wouldn’t be tampered with. With these new delivery services, food is now delivered by a 3rd party delivery driver, instilling some doubt for both the restaurant and customer into whether the food could have been tampered with between receiving the food and delivery. A 2019 survey of delivery drivers revealed 28% of drivers had eaten food they were delivering. Our client, through personal experience as a caring delivery driver, has identified a need to solve this issue with a bag that not only secures food in a delivery bag, but provides peace of mind for both the restaurant and customer.

MEAL ‘N‘ SEAL DESIGN

Form Designs Australia developed the Meal N Seal, an innovative food delivery bag designed to ensure the security and integrity of delivered meals. The products function involves a simple process: food is placed inside the Bag, and security tabs are pushed through the slots on the opposite side, which secures the contents inside. The unique bent 'teeth' on the tabs lock them in place, preventing access from the outside and creating a tamper-proof seal without damaging the Bag. This design not only safeguards the food from tampering but also provides peace of mind for both restaurants and customers, reinforcing trust in the delivery process.
