We are pleased to announce that last night, Form Designs were awarded three prestigious accolades in recognition for outstanding design and innovation at this years GOOD DESIGN AWARDS®
GOOD DESIGN AWARD® WINNERS
The winners of Australia's peak industry design awards – the highest honour for design and innovation in the country – were announced at The Star on 11 July at the 61st annual Good Design Awards Ceremony. The Good Design Awards is Australia’s most prestigious international Awards for design and innovation with a proud history dating back to 1958.
The Good Design Awards Jury spent several days evaluating each entry according to a strict set of design criteria which covers ‘good design’, ‘design innovation’ and ‘design impact’. Projects recognised with a Good Design Award must demonstrate excellence in all areas and convince the Jury they are worthy of recognition. Dr. Brandon Gien, CEO of Good Design Australia said: “Receiving a Good Design Award at this level is a significant achievement given the very high calibre of entries received this year.”
“Australia’s Good Design Award is more than a symbol of design excellence, it represents the hard work and dedication towards an innovative outcome that will ultimately improve our quality of life. These projects showcase the brilliance of design and the potential it has to improve our world,” said Dr. Gien.
BLAZABALL WINS 2019 BEST IN CLASS
Form Designs and Blazaball received a prestigious Good Design Award Best in Class Accolade in the Product Design category. The Good Design Awards Jury praised Blazaball commenting: “Fit for purpose idea designed at the right price. Well done! Clever problem solving, good price point, material use and production technique on point. A simple and well-resolved product that is perfectly designed for its purpose. Hard to fault it. The Blazaball solves an existing problem effectively and cost efficiently.”
TOUGH NUT TOOLS WINS 2019 GOOD DESIGN AWARD®
Form Designs and the Basin Socket Set by Tough Nut Tools received a prestigious Good Design Award Winner Accolade in the Product Design category in recognition for outstanding design and innovation. The Good Design Awards Jury praised the Basin Socket Set commenting: “A focused solution for a specific need. The Basin Socket Set improves the practical issues in plumbing. Nicely resolved solution for a known installation issue. Well done."
GLOBAL MARINE ENCLOSURES WINS 2019 GOOD DESIGN AWARD®
Form Designs and the Aquarius Shark Barrier received a prestigious Good Design Award Winner Accolade in the Product Design category in recognition for outstanding design and innovation. The Good Design Awards Jury praised Aquarius Shark Barrier commenting: “A well resolved improvement that addresses concerns about shark nets. A good example of incremental innovation with a well resolved outcome. The mobility of the product and the ability to stretch and bend is an innovation."
